September 2018 Updates

Our Treasurer Kate is standing down from the role effective from the AGM next March (2019). If Flintshire U3A is to continue it is imperative that we find someone to fulfil this essential role. We need someone to come forward now, so that Kate can work with them prior to her standing down. Kate has offered to support anyone that comes forward for as long as necessary.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in taking on this vital role please contact me on 07545019179 or by email

The new General Data Protection Regulation
I'm sure that you will all be aware by now that the new General Data Protection Regulation came into force on May 25th. Rest assured that Flintshire U3A has taken appropriate steps to ensure that any information that we hold on our members is held appropriately and securely and is only used for essential membership purposes.
In order for us to comply with the regulation, all FU3A members new and old are required to complete a new membership form. Some of you may have done this already, if you haven’t your Group Coordinator will be receiving copies to give to you or you can download one now click here.
Please note, you only need to fill it in once.

Friendship and Fun through Lifelong Learning

Flintshire U3A

What's New Calendar

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international self-help organisation for retired and semi-retired people, in their Third Age. It provides educational, creative and leisure opportunities in lifelong learning. The success of each U3A is that they draw on the knowledge, experience and skills of their own members.

Flintshire U3A is a vibrant association of groups, which meet to offer a wide variety of activities and interests.
These meetings also offer a chance to make new friends, share interests and develop new skills in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
